- A Volunteer Organization
- Jackson Pathfinders is a group of volunteers whose goals are
- to preserve open spaces in Jackson, New Jersey, wherever
possible
- to maintain existing trails in our parks, and
- to contribute to a network of land preservation efforts
throughout the country.
- To achieve these goals, Pathfinders have begun to identify,
map, mark, and maintain trails for walking, hiking, jogging,
bicycling, and equestrian activities on public - and where permitted -
private land.
- Our vision is to encourage pride in our community and to gain
public support for preserving open space for future generations.
- A Jackson Township Organization
- Pathfinders is supported by the Jackson Town Council.
We operate under the direction of the Jackson
Recreation Department and work closely with the Town Council
in discussing future land acquisitions.
- Pathfinders is also the community advocacy group for the Forest
Resource Education Center and we have worked with the Jackson
Environmental Commission.
