Pathfinders Meeting Minutes                     May 16, 2002                      Public Works, Employee Lounge 

Chairperson, Karen Borga, called the meeting to order at 8:10pm. 

In attendance:  Karen Borga, Tom Stevens, Ronnie Bruchez, Karen Walzer, George Nebel, Dawn Rakow, Sam Wimmer, and Leo Kissling, Jr.,

Treasurer’s report: Tom Stevens  - remains the same 

Corresponding secretary: Sarah Ralston- absent, no report 

National Trails Day: Dawn Rakow – Scheduled for Saturday, June 1st 9:00-4:00 (rain date June 2).  Free refreshments will be provided.  We will also have a limited amount of free T-shirts that will be given out.  Please bring gloves and tools, including rakes, shovels and wheelbarrows.

Arbor Day: Leo Kissling, Jr., - It was lots of fun.  Jackson received an award.

Last month’s minutes were corrected and approved.

Boy Scout Projects: Leo Kissling, Jr.

Mapping: Tom Stevens – Frank Applegate Road.  

Biking: Ronnie Bruchez – Wrote a letter to Sgt. Kovac and Captain Anderson, explaining our goal to create safe bicycling routes in our town.  I am planning a 28 mile bicycle ride for October 19th with a rain date of October 20th. The route will begin and end at Johnson Park/Camp Joy. 

Membership:  Sharon Molitor, Dawn Rakow – no activity at this time. 

Hiking: Jim Doyle:  absent, no report. 

Johnson Park: Trailhead sign is up. 

Website: Madeleine Nist, George Nebel – George suggested to have one person from each committee put articles of interest on the web. 

Grants: - Dawn Rakow – no activity at this time. 

Land Acquisition: Karen Borga, Dawn and Tom met with Andrew Strauss.
